2015 City Council

In 2015, I set out on a journey of discovery. I ran for Seymour Common Council (or City Council as most know it) to have the chance to learn as much as possible as I looked at running for mayor in the future. During my time on council, I had a chance to work with and learn from several long-standing members. I was able to ask questions during four budget cycles and support ordinances such as accepting the Baby Box, which would later receive a baby girl in 2020. I was able to develop a relationship with then mayor Craig Luedeman that I still use to this day on various topics. Through hard work and dedication, I was able to become a Certified Municipal Official from the Municipal Management Institute. My thirst for knowledge still continues to this day. If I had to do it all over again, I would not change a thing because those four years are invaluable to how I serve our community today. Thank you to everyone who gave me a chance to work on “Building the future of Seymour” because it gave me a chance to become more competent, consistent, and caring.
