#seymOURtown
During the Oktoberfest parade we are handing out bracelets with #seymOURtown on them. Curt Schleibaum gets credit for creating this hashtag and I can’t thank him enough for allowing me to use it.
Why am I drawn to it so much?
Way back when I was a fly on the wall at city council meetings, I found that I seemed to like officials that shared the view that Seymour is for us all. This feeling dates a decade or more before my time on the council and ever since I was elected I have always tried to make sure everyone realizes that it is, in fact, our town. The upcoming election truly isn’t about me. It is about what is best for the city of Seymour and all of its citizens. I don’t care if you come from the eastside or the west. If you call Seymour home then I want it to be exactly that-- home. When we are all invested in making Seymour a great place to live and work then we all reap the benefits of a vibrant and amazing city. Today I ask you: What act (large or small) can you do to help make Seymour a better place for all?
Join me on November 5th and help vote in a new administration dedicated to leading our town into the future.
